Unfortunately, relying on physical appearance is not an accurate method of determining the sex of many birds. Our feathered friends simply do not have obvious external characteristics that can indicate gender for us.

However, we can reliably tell you your bird’s gender by performing DNA sexing with a blood sample sent to one of our diagnostic laboratories – this method is very reliable, and much safer than other methods, which sometimes require anesthesia to perform.

Please give us a call to ask any questions you may have concerning your bird.
